The A.R.T Ha Giang Loop is a 5-day guided adventure motorcycle tour through Vietnam’s most dramatic and remote northern landscapes. Starting and ending in Ha Giang, this loop takes riders deep into UNESCO-recognised karst plateau territory — past towering limestone peaks, terraced rice fields, and ethnic minority villages that most travellers never reach.
This isn’t a sightseeing tour. It’s a raw riding experience through one of Southeast Asia’s last great frontiers.
The Route at a Glance
Day-by-Day Breakdown
Day 1 — Ha Giang → Mù Cang Chải (290 km | 7.4 hrs) Depart Ha Giang and ride through dramatic limestone peaks and deep river gorges. Navigate winding mountain roads through remote ethnic villages along the northern frontier, crossing scenic passes with sweeping views. Arrive in Mù Cang Chải — home to Vietnam’s most iconic stepped rice terraces. Stay at Lapatan Paradise.
Day 2 — Mù Cang Chải → Sapa (155 km | 4 hrs) Ride out through golden rice terraces and peaceful mountain villages. Climb twisting highland roads that open up into sweeping valley views and cloud-covered peaks. Pass through ethnic minority hamlets and local markets before arriving in Sa Pa, nestled in the shadow of Fansipan. Stay at Sapa Mountain Resort by Melia.
Day 3 — Sapa → Ha Giang (326 km | 8.9 hrs) Descend from the misty mountains of Sa Pa and ride deep into Ha Giang province via remote highland backroads. The terrain gets wilder — sharper curves, forested valleys, and rugged landscapes as you re-enter the gateway to the legendary northern loop. Stay at Ha Giang Historic House.
Day 4 — Ha Giang → Dong Van (123 km | 4 hrs) Begin the ascent into the heart of the Dong Van Karst Plateau — a UNESCO Global Geopark. Navigate narrow mountain roads, dramatic limestone cliffs, and deep valleys. Pass iconic landmarks including Quan Ba Heaven’s Gate and H’Mong villages clinging to the hillsides. Arrive in the remote frontier town of Đồng Văn. Stay at Dinh Đá H’Mong Kasterly House.
Day 5 — Dong Van → Ha Giang (166 km | 4.6 hrs) Take the longer, scenic back route home — riding remote ridgelines, terraced slopes, and narrow cliffside roads with panoramic views. Stop at quiet ethnic villages and local markets off the main tourist path before descending back into Ha Giang, completing the loop with unforgettable mountain memories.
Day 6 — Departure
Who Is This For? Riders looking to go beyond the tourist trail and experience northern Vietnam the way it was meant to be seen — from the saddle, on roads most never dare to take.

I had a lot of concerns while preparing for a bike trip to Vietnam with novice female riders. However, after preparing for the 7-day tour with ART and traveling on a long journey together, all my worries disappeared.
1. Highly satisfying service
2. Conduct the program politely
3. Sufficient risk response ability
I have a lot of experience traveling abroad by bike. Korea, Japan, Mongolia, New Zealand… From many bike trips, I know what you need and what you don’t. ART is a small company, but it has great value and I think it is a trustworthy company. If you want a luxurious bike tour in Vietnam, we recommend that you go with ART. Fiona, who always created the program with a bright smile. Vu, who led a stable and enjoyable journey on a long journey… This trip will remain in our memories for a long time.
Thank you all ?
High quality big bikes, pretty much the sole service offering a diversity of ADV, touring and scrambler bikes from 650cc to 1,250cc.
Great motorbike tours for those who like to ride non-stop and then chill in the evening either camping with delicious food or at a comfortable accommodation.
Thanks to all the organizer and especially Vu for the excellent moto journey, it will be remembered for a long time!!!
I only really regret that I could not finish moto ride with our super band in the last two days, but good emotions overwhelm me.
Thanks!
it was a GREAT trip and i have enjoyed my time hire very much. I almost loved most riding the bike in dense city traffic. Thank you all so much for your super support

My wife and I have just returned from a 4 week trip from the north to south Vietnam. We booked a GS1200 through ART and started our relationship with ART and the absolute star of our holiday – Fiona.
Fiona and TJ were very hepful in the planning of the itinerary and their judgement as to what to miss out and what to visit was 100% spot on. The bike was delivered on time and immaculately prepared to the Metropole in Hanoi and thats where our adventure starated.
Each day we had a google maps itinerary to follow (if we wanted to) and the homestays and farm stays were all well chosen by Fiona and pre booked on our behalf. We missed out a section (2 days riding) from Hanoi south and the bike was collected and then dropped off further south whilst we flew. There was a problem with the luggage rack (it cracked) and Fiona sent a mechanic to our hotel and it was fixed – again hassle free.
We did just over 3,000 km and delivered the bike back to ART in Saigon. ART really understand bikers and riding and what is and is not comfortable/interesting (depending on what you are after) – they are super helpful and just very easy to deal with. I would recommend them to anyone wanting a proper bike holiday in Vietnam – they are the best in my view.
Jeremy and Ruth Aitchison.
Adrenalin Rush team was the right choice. Them being recommended by a good friend who rolled with them, made a no brainer for us to choose them. In any case you always doubt Touring with somebody first time, however prep and communique before arrival, having Fiona organising each step towards our Vietnam ride made us relaxed and confident that all is going to be alright – and it really did!
Great selection of bikes, bikes’ good condition, excellently tailored routes with great timing and total support made me prone to do another one and then another one after that. I just hope this will happen soon.
Good job guys, keep it boutique and client focused as you already do.
